Agenda Highlights 6/24/25

The Fort Smith Board of Directors meeting scheduled for 6-24-25 will begin with a special meeting to vote to accept and file the external audit firm’s 2024 annual Comprehensive Financial Report.

Then the study session meeting will begin. It will start with the presentation of the 2024 consent decree annual report. The discussion will include works completed, milestones achieved, what is still left to be done, and projects being developed for better communication about the work being done and progress toward completion of the required work.

The Board will discuss contracting with Amaresco for an Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) for an Advanced Metering System (AMI) and water loss optimization project. The project would explore where non-revenue water loss is occurring, accuracy of meters, billing accuracy, cost reduction and revenue enhancement solutions, and funding opportunities for AMI.
